      LIFE STORY / OBITUARY

      Arie A. Vander Heide, age 91 of Jenison passed away peacefully and went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 3, 2020.

      Arie was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church. He was an engineer in the automotive industry for many years retiring from Prince Corporation in Holland. Arie spent hours working on cars and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed walking, riding bicycles and traveling with his wife Marlene. Arie was a true child of God who dearly loved his wife and family and will be missed greatly.

      Arie was preceded in death by his brother Neil Vander Heide and infant grandson Kyle Vander Heide.

      He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marlene (Joustra) Vander Heide and children: Marge and Siebren Mulder of Grandville, MI, Dave and Sue Vander Heide of Zeeland, MI and Gary and Nancee Vander Heide of Grandville, MI; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister-in-laws: Dorine Vander Heide of Wayland and Gloria DeMaagd of Jenison; brother-in-law: Dave and Pat Joustra of Grandville; many nieces and nephews.

      A private funeral service will be held at Fellowship Reformed Church. Rev. Shawn Hulst will be officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.

      Memorial contributions may be given to Mission India, PO Box 141312, Grand Rapids, MI 49514-1312. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home ? Downtown Chapel.
